Missions

Pinegrove’s Mission Plan was built upon the assignment given to us by Jesus Christ before He ascended to heaven.  Matthew 28:18-20 reads:

“And Jesus came and spoke to them saying, All authority has been given to

me in heaven and on earth.  Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations

baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy

Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and

lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

This is His assignment to us and our Mission Plan reflects our commitment and determination to successfully fulfill that assignment.   Our Vision Statement for Pinegrove identifies three distinct, yet interdependent areas of our church’s mission: The Community, The Church Family and The World.  This Action Plan deals with the third of those critical areas, our mission to The World.

The third component of Our Vision statement reads as follows:

The mission to which God has called us extends around the globe and so

we will engage in strategic partnerships around the world where, through the grace of God, we can be used to bring life change to individuals, families and communities by meeting their holistic needs and sharing the message of eternal salvation.

Recently, our Board adopted recommendations of our Missions Team to develop a three-pronged approach to our Missions support.  We will establish partnerships locally, nationally and globally.

Locally, we will be implementing the "Sharing Supper" program where Pinegrove will weekly feed dinner here at the church to those in our community who are in need.  If you are interested in serving in this program or in making a donation to support the program please contact us at 705 645-4771.

Nationally, we will be partnering with an established mission serving aboriginal people.  This is currently being developed and we will post information as it becomes available.

Globally, Pinegrove will focus its support on our missionaries who are actively training nationals abroad and/or actively church planting in foreign countries.  Please check out our missionaries page for more information regarding our international missionaries.  It should be noted that not all of our missionaries can be identified on our website because to do so may place them in unsafe circumstances in the countries where they are ministering.
